Parkview catcher Francis verbals to Bears

Parkview catcher Darin Francis verbally committed to Missouri State over the weekend. A 3-year all- Ozark Conference catcher, Francis is also Springfield's all-time touchdown leader for the Vikings football team.

Congrats to Darin...however, it is the OC, not COC...regardless, Darin is a very hard-working kid and I'm glad to see local kids get shots at Mo State.

Everybody talks about how tough of a kid he is and what a great competitor he is. Spencer Johnson would be a good get next year, that is if he doesn't go pro.

Does Spencer have pro ability out of high school? I have yet to see him play, but obviously his numbers are great.
