I really like Ruder and I am looking forward to watching the games tonight to see how his game looks this year

He CAN create off the dribble. Thats one of the reasons why I like his game. He has a reputation as a dead-eye shooter but he's in no way a one dimensional player. He may have been that way previously but we have to remember that he is only a junior this year. His game is still evolving and developing.

It's a good point; he's 17 years old. He still has some physical projection most likely.

He's not my first choice for the scholarship, since they're limited next year, but if he develops and gets to where he can play in our scheme, then bring him in. Always can use shooters and guards.

I liked Ruder quite a bit. He needs to gain some strength, but he has some grit to his game, he can handle the ball, and has a pretty shot.

Liked his aggression and the way he played within the offense. He plays a bit of defense, has some projection left, and is crafty around the basket.

Ruder is showing his value as a D-1 prospect. His numbers have confirmed his talent as a marksman with the basketball. He has been a good defender as well. He also has a "younger" 6' 5" brother on the varsity team this year.

Saw Austin and his family at the Wichita game

Nixa dismantled Glendale last night. Ruder led all scorers with 30 points on 12-15 shooting.

sounds like a shooter we could use :)

Our offense isn't geared towards shooters. See Scheer, nathan. If you can't create your own shot with the shotclock running down you shouldn't be in our offense.

This kids shot is really smooth. I hope he stays home and becomes a Bear. This Nixa team is REALLY good and has a legit chance at state.

I understand what you are saying, but can you imagine how much it would help this team to have a corner shooting player. Man would it change things!

Which one is the "big timer"??

If the Bears could only take one of the Nixa players which one would it be?

I would probably go with Norman. I think his overall game is a little better. I think he is a better athlete. But it is insane that both of them are just Juniors. Nixa is going to be scary good next year.

If they're going to win state, it will be this year. Losing there PG Bundy is going to hurt big time. He's a stud as well. I would take Norman and Bundy as Bears. I'm afriad Norman will end up going BCS, though.

Bundy as a Bear? I will have to pass on him for sure.
  19. TheTimeIsNow 6th Man

Sorry, I meant Ruder. I do think Bundy was a steal for Drury. I think he has D1 talent.
  20. Agrinut Resident Bear Apologist

Ruder I would take, or Norman for that matter. Jalen needs to prove he can score for me to get real excited about him. He is the best athlete on the floor at his level, that won't always be the case.
