    Downers South guard Jerron Wilbut had watched Hinsdale South cut a 13-point halftime lead down to four Friday night, but that was not a cause for concern.
    “I have confidence in my team, so I knew we were going to get it right back on track,” Wilbut said. “So I was not really worried.”

    Wilbut erupted for 13 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter to lead the host Mustangs to a 58-46 victory in a West Suburban Conference Gold Division opener for both teams.

    I would think if Wilbut loved us, he'd have committed already. He's had that offer for some time now, and hasn't pulled the trigger.

    That leads me to believe he's either holding out for a BCS offer he likes, he's looking for something we don't have to offer, or he's genuinely confused.

    Most of those things don't point in our favor.

    Could be but we offered late, and he had said he wouldn't decide till spring. The later points to BCS offers though so I agree.

    I didn't know if 'we don't have one" meant we didn't have a player like him or we don't have a chance :)
