    Broderick Newbill - 6'4 175 lbs. Wing
Hogan Prep High - Kansas City, Mo
    AAU- KC 76ers
Interest- MO State, Mizzou, Nebraska, Wichita State

Per Rivals.com... The best unsigned senior in Kansas City is Hogan Prep wing Broderick Newbill. The three-star wing is a lean and long athlete who usually sticks jumpers from 12 to 20 feet. While several of his jumpers were rattling in and out, Newbill made his presence felt by getting to the rim as he worked his way to 24 points BRODERICK-NEWBILL150_0730.jpg

Saw Broderick play today at the Jewell tournament. Really good leaper that gets to the rim a lot. Threw down some big dunks. Love his attitude because he doesn't posture after a dunk and he just gets back to playing tough D right away. Didn't get to see much of his shooting as he was always driving to the rim or catching lobs. If you were to walk in the gym without knowing anything about either team you'd be able to identify him as the best player on the court within 1 quarter. He just makes that much of an impact.

He's thin and I don't know about his range. He doesn't look like a high-major prospect but I'd like to see him at MSU.

Bump...I would still like to have this kid play for the Bears. :)

It doesn't mean a whole lot but Broderick was one of only a few kids from Missouri to make the McDonalds All-American nominee list. He won't be one but it's good to see him getting the publicity. It's deserved. I too would still like to see Broderick end up being a Bear.

Willard beat Hogan Prep 74-71. Not sure on the stats quite yet.

He had 21 in a loss to Willard, Hendricks had 34 against him.

Thanks for sharing. I didn't go but a friend of mine was there and said he looked really good.

Willard is an all or nothing type team this year. When Kendrix is playing well they can be competitive with almost anyone.

I wonder if we are visiting broderick tomorrow as well?

Eric Bossi of Rivals told me that Broderick is likely going the Prep school route so he'd be a 2013.

do we not have anyone recruiting kc and Stl now that wood is gone? seems like lots of talent up there that we are missing out on

I really like Newbill but we have other needs right now IMO

didn't necessarily mean newbill. looks like several kids from those areas have gone elsewhere or looking anywhere but here

Just don't think we really wanted a high school kid...Harrison, Harrison, Newbill, etc...but I could be wrong. I still say 5 frosh is enough but then again you can't pass up a big time one.

I thought Newbill had reclassified to 2013? I thought he was going the prep school route...
