Class of 2011: Mike Compton, 6-1, 180 lb right handed pitcher. Compton is the 2010 COC Large Player of the Year. He went 8-0 with a 1.12 ERA with 85 strikeouts.

The Florida native throws a fastball consistently in the mid 80's with a slider, curve, and changeup. Compton considers himself a precision pitcher.

He will play in several showcase games this summer, mostly in Florida.

Likely a draft prospect, definitely a division-I talent. Compton also hit .450 this season in the cleanup spot for the COC and district champ Pirates.

Mikey threw a perfect game the other day for the Pirates in a 1-0 win.

If he committed to Florida State, can't we delete this?

No offense, as he sounds like a good player, but this is a Bears board, and once you're with someone else, you're not with us.
