What kind of minutes is he getting? Those are not overly great numbers for JUCO where defense is light and lots of shots go up. But if he could do the same for us and defend the post, he will be a great help.
Will be interesting if he can become a player that plays most minutes in a game and play at that level.
Per Alford, Hicks will be a great player in the Valley and can play both 4-5. New Mexico recruiting him hard, however Hicks told Alford he wanted to get back to midwest. Lusk had been recruiting for the past 2 years. Plays 17 minutes per game and has very good stats. Strong body inside at 6'7" 235lbs. Nice get.
Great news on him from Alford, if they could use him we can for sure. Sounds like a post for the Bears the next two years.

Like this guy, looks strong and could be agressive around the hole, comes from a family of great athletes, compares him to NBA players, has the body and knows how to use it to go where he wants on the floor, note what his coach had to say: " Talk about winning the genetic lottery. Hicks' uncle, Jeff Urquhart, is regarded by long-time St. Catherine's track coach Tom Scheller as perhaps the finest sprinter in the school's history. And Hicks' brother, DeQuan, was considered by Park boys' basketball coach Jim Betker as having an upside similar to that of Caron Butler, an NBA All-Star who played at the school. During Hicks' two seasons as a receiver at Park, 16 of his 33 receptions went for touchdowns. He averaged 20.2 yards every time he touched the ball.
Jeeze with those kind of stats at 14 minutes a game you wonder if the conference put a time limit on how much he could play. Pretty solid stuff on all metrics
His team plays many players, most of which get around the same minutes per game. Looking at the stats most average between 10-15min per game
